Hi there, I am Kara Adler, or Mrs. Adler, as my students call me.
I was born and raised in Texas, y’all. I grew up going to public school K-12, where my love for sharing anything and everything started. I was never the student who answered “nothing” when my parents asked me what I did at school that day.
My love of sharing information continued, so much that I even designated myself as a “passer” on career day at summer camp. Nobody, not even my counselor, knew what I was until I got up to present. I told my camp group I wanted to pass down information to my peers and those younger than me, so they could do the same. My seven-year-old dream started to take place in elementary school as class secretary and formed into a love of theatre and performing arts in middle and high school, where I could share other peoples’ stories to an audience full of people. Eventually, it led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in journalism at the University of Missouri, and a Master’s Degree in Education at Southern Methodist University.

Therefore, it should be no surprise that I wanted to take my passion of sharing knowledge into the classroom. Students in my class are engaged in learning the content, but they are encouraged to share the knowledge with their peers through class projects and activities.

When I am not perusing Amazon for the latest and greatest school supplies, which whole heartedly is one of my favorite activities, you can find me running on Katy Trail or White Rock or parading around my Frenchie to my favorite coffee shops.
