EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
The most important thing I can teach in my classroom is that failure is inevitable and expected. I want my students to feel comfortable being humans in my classroom. I want them to feel safe hypothesizing and jumping to conclusions even if they are just PLAIN-OLD WRONG.
I believe students learn more from their own mistakes, than any correct answers I could provide them in class. Therefore, I believe the purpose of education is fostering an innate love of learning, so students know how to learn to pursue their passions inside and outside of the classroom.
The only way to accomplish this is for me as the teacher to strip away the fear of failure, so my students are encouraged to explore because the content is engaging and tailored to them, and not simply for the pursuit of the correct answer.
